How I Quickly Organize and Rename TV Show and Movie mp4 Files


First off the way I download mp4 files is by using a free addon for my firefox browser called "Video DownloadHelper" which I have been using for years now. Next I have a place where I download all new downloads to when using this addon. I have a folder in the videos section where I download all downloads from this addon. Once I have the downloads for a specific TV Show done I rename them by season with a free program called "Rename My TV Series" I have been using this program for a few years as well. 


Example: I just downloaded a TV show called "This Is Us" I now have all 6 seasons. 


I found them on a free streaming site and then I downloaded them. Once they had been downloaded I then changed the name of the files from random text to the actual TV show name with season number and episode number and episode title all in the file name.


So the file name went from looking like this:

This Is Us - s5 e1 Watch Free Site Name.mp4 

To looking like this:This Is Us (2016) - S05E01 - Forty (1).mp4

Now that they have been renamed I then move them to a flash drive called "TV Show(1)"

I have a previous main hard drive which is a 1 TB that has TV shows and Movies. I want to sort them and get a second hard drive and a few more big flash drives. But this is what I have for now.


So I download with the addon and then I rename with the free program and then I move them to my flash drives. This is how I do it with TV shows I use a program called "Media Companion" for the Movies.


So far I have several TV shows that are currently airing on the hard drives as well and sometimes I can't keep up with all the episodes so I download a bunch at once. And instead of renaming a bunch of folders for each show what I do is I name each folder a number. Like 1,2,3 and so on. And then I place each show inside the numbered folders and then once the show gets renames it creates a folder with the show name inside the number folder and then a season folder inside the TV Show title folder. So then I just open the number folder and move the Title folder onto the flash drive. And then I delete the numbered folder and everything inside it. This makes renaming the folders easier rather then needing to know the names of each show and needing to type the names or copy paste the names for each folder.

Google Chrome Extension Review & Setup: Bonjourr

Today, I will be customizing my "Bonjourr Extension". There are several things that can be changed on the extension. I have decided to set up a few extra Google Chrome accounts. What I learned Today That I Hope Others Will Find Helpful As Well

Today I have learned a few things that have made things a bit easier for my video file renaming. As well as how to organize my files and icons a bit more rather then having them all over my my main desktop screen.  The first thing I learn was how to use Bulk Renamer Utility to rename files by using a TXT file. For renaming my movies. I normally will rename the files by copy as path and then edit the names inside Notepad++ one movie at a time and then copy and paste into the Bulk Renamer Utility. But by using the Bulk Renamer Utility with a TXT file it makes it much faster and easier.    I have also learned how to save a folder to my windows 11 taskbar which I have not fully figured out before. But by watching a youtube video I have found out how to save the folder to my taskbar which makes getting my ahk "Auto Hotkeys" into one place much easier.
